Event Description:  Richard I (Coeur de Lion) leads his Crusaders on a fighting march south along the Mediterranean Sea toward the ancient coastal city of Jaffa.  Off the coast sail the Venetian fleet.  Landward, paralleling the Crusaders, Sultan Saladin rides with his Muslim army as they harass Richards force, waiting for an opportunity to strike en masse at the Christians.  On the plain outside of Jaffa, he seizes upon the chance and sends his forces charging out of the Arsuf Wood toward the Crusader army.
